Creator Statement
With GLAZE, I wanted to create a comedy that feels authentic to a group of young women we rarely get to see at the centre of Danish fiction. The series explores dating, friendship, family, and cultural expectations through humour, while allowing the characters to be messy, contradictory, and completely themselves.
Shot entirely in a vertical format, GLAZE also became an experiment in how cinematic fiction can live naturally on the platforms where its audience already spends its time.
Filmmaker Bio
Milan is a Danish filmmaker and director working across fiction and documentary. His work is driven by character, authenticity and a curiosity about communities and perspectives rarely placed at the centre of Danish storytelling. He is particularly interested in exploring new ways of reaching audiences and combining cinematic storytelling with contemporary formats. GLAZE, Denmark’s first original vertical fiction series, reflects this approach by bringing scripted comedy directly into a mobile-first format.
