But when his beloved actress insists that a Hollywood heartthrob should play his part, our hapless filmmaker finds himself having to direct the woman of his dreams performing an intimate love scene with a much better-looking version of himself.

Creator Statement
Even though this film jumps up and down on my raw romantic nerves, I had an amazing time directing it. We had a top notch cast, a great screenplay, and a truly unique meta-cinematic premise. From our nod to "(500) Days of Summer" in the opening shot, to Sami's obsession with the red polka dot dress from "Vertigo", this is a film that will particularly appeal to people who love watching and making movies. "How Not To Write A Rom Com" will have people squirming and laughing in the aisles.
