Creator Statement
MOBKING came from wanting to take the kind of crime storytelling I grew up loving and push it into a format built for the way people watch today. I didn’t want vertical storytelling to feel smaller, cheaper, or disposable. I wanted it to feel cinematic, dangerous, character-driven, and worthy of the genre. At its core, MOBKING is about reinvention—both Mike White returning to a world that moved on without him and filmmakers proving that a new format can still carry old-school weight.

Ciro Dapagio is an actor, filmmaker, writer, and producer known for creating gritty, character-driven crime stories with a strong cinematic identity. As the founder of Ciro Dapagio Films, he has built projects across film, television, and vertical storytelling, including MOBKING, Burning Bridges, and Call Him King. His work blends old-school storytelling with modern formats, focusing on authenticity, atmosphere, and memorable characters while continuing to build independently outside the traditional studio system.
