Creator Statement

I’ve been teaching cocktail classes in NYC for over a decade. It has made me realize just how little people know about what they pour in their glass beyond how it tastes. Fermented and distilled beverages have a rich and vibrant history—one that would not exist without the ingenuity of women. This project is a way for folks to get a quick little shot of history from some amazing women who happen to be experts in it. My hope is that this inspires you to learn more about what is in your glass and who helped put it there!
