Creator Statement
NOTED is about the guilt we carry for so long that we stop questioning whether we deserve it. Elias has spent three years constructing an identity around a gaping wound - until the man who helped create it walks back through the door with the truth.
What I want the audience to feel is relief. The particular relief of watching a man released from something he was never meant to carry. We have all been Elias. We have all kept our distance from the table of redemption when what we needed was to sit down at it.
Sometimes the hardest seat at the table is your own. NOTED is about the moment you finally do.
Filmmaker Bio
Erroll j Bailey MD is a Harvard-trained orthopedic surgeon, novelist and filmmaker from Atlanta, Georgia. For thirty years he repaired what was broken in the human body. Now, he is turning that same precision and intention toward repairing broken narratives - stories that have been ignored, underserved or never told at all. NOTED marks his arrival into vertical cinema. As a Co-founder of Perpendicular Media LLC, he is building a prestige vertical content company along side his partner, Dr. Johnathan Isom. His novel 'Mr. Dream Merchant' established his voice. NOTED now delivers it.
