Creator Statement
This series grew naturally out of something small — my neighbor and I started looking out for each other's packages after a string of thefts in our building, and that everyday act of care turned into a real friendship. Dancing to his voicemails started as a way to bring some lightness to our day-to-day, and it slowly became a way of honoring an intergenerational friendship that doesn't usually get much spotlight. Honestly, when we started posting, the goal was just to make enough money to finally get out of the building. Instead, people started calling it art.
Filmmaker Bio
Sydni Beaudoin is a New York-based actor and content creator, and the creator and performer behind Voicemails From My Neighbor. Her television credits include FBI, Girls, Fosse/Verdon, Friends From College, and The Leftovers, and she has appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia! and The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation, currently in development. She recently began a national commercial campaign for a major retail brand. Trained at NYU Tisch and CAP21, Sydni brings a performer's eye to her short-form work, blending real-life storytelling with movement and physical comedy to create something distinct in the vertical video space.
